Dr. Wells has a special interest in improving the well-being, adjustment, and overall mental health of children, youth, and families bringing about harmony and peace of mind.

His approach to therapy involves highlighting and increasing individual and family strengths that promote resilience and adapting to the demands of life.

Dr. Wells is licensed to practice clinical psychology in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He completed his undergraduate training in psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He also obtained a Master’s of Science and a Ph.D. with focuses on clinical child psychology at Virginia Tech. To gain specialized training, he completed an internship and postdoctoral residency with the Charlottesville League of Therapists where he learned to use a family systems approach to helping children and families.

Dr. Wells is also a veteran who served in the United States Air Force.
